Terms of sale

These terms apply to custom vehicle builds, restoration work and related services sold by RBS Customs LLC ("RBS Customs", "we", "us"), 47 Pleasant Street, Suite BS, Northampton, MA 01060. Each build is also governed by its signed build agreement; where the two differ, the build agreement controls.

Build agreement and price

Work begins when the build agreement is signed and the deposit is received. The agreement states a fixed price in US dollars, the specification, the payment schedule and an estimated completion window. Changes requested after signing are priced as written change orders and require your approval before the work proceeds.

Payment

Payments are due as stages complete, per the schedule in the agreement and the pricing page: deposit at signing, progress payments at chassis/drivetrain and body/paint completion, and the balance before release. Accepted methods: bank transfer, ACH debit, card and check. Charges appear on statements as RBS CUSTOMS LLC. Work pauses on invoices more than 15 days past due; balances more than 30 days past due accrue 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law.

Donor vehicle and title

You warrant that any client-supplied donor vehicle is owned by you with clear title. We handle title and registration paperwork for the completed vehicle as agreed; state fees are passed through at cost.

Timeline and delivery

Completion windows are estimates; parts availability can move them, and we will tell you promptly if it does. Delivery is by enclosed carrier at actual cost or by collection at our shop. Risk of loss passes on delivery to the carrier or to you.

Warranty

Workmanship is warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles from delivery, paint for 12 months against defects in application; components carry their manufacturers' warranties. Excluded: racing or competition use, accident damage, modifications by others, and normal wear.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts paid under the build agreement. We are not liable for consequential damages, loss of use or diminished value.

Territory and governing law

We sell and deliver within the United States. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
